The East Central Railway (ECR) has announced a recruitment drive for 1154 Apprentice positions across various divisions and workshops. Interested candidates can apply online from January 25, 2025, to February 14, 2025.

Vacancy Details:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th) or its equivalent under the 10+2 examination system with at least 50% aggregate marks. Additionally, they should possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).

• Age Limit: As of January 1, 2025, candidates should be between 15 and 24 years of age. Age relaxations are applicable as per government norms:
  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years (additional relaxation for OBC/SC/ST PwBD candidates)

Application Fee:

• General/OBC candidates: ₹100 (non-refundable)
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates: Exempted

Selection Process:

Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by averaging the marks obtained in Matriculation and the ITI examination. In case of a tie, preference will be given to older candidates, and if the tie persists, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered.
